Sitting Position for Playing the Paying

January 25, 2012 Piano Tips by Mary James

Sit directly in front of Middle “C.” When playing the keys up or down the piano
keyboard, do so by moving your arms and hands, but do not slide to one side or the
other on the piano bench. Why is the piano bench so long? Good question—perhaps for
playing duets or extra seating for the kids for Thanksgiving dinner!!
